Sounds like a realistic version of the Man in the High Castle. Per Quantum Mechanics, this might even be true :-)

Just as a thought - Back in 1961, the Nobel Prize–winning physicist Eugene Wigner outlined a thought experiment that demonstrated one of the lesser-known paradoxes of quantum mechanics. The experiment shows how two observers — say, Wigner and Wigner’s friend — can experience different realities.

Since then, physicists have used the “Wigner’s Friend” thought experiment to explore the nature of measurement and to argue over whether objective facts can exist. That’s important because scientists carry out experiments to establish…

Thank you, Onalytica and Joe Fields, for featuring me on your platform. After I saw the video, I thought, let me use this for some comic relief (esp. suited for the rough times we live in) — to critique myself and as a lessons learned opportunity.

First off, I think I am still figuring out where to look while doing a video — at the person onscreen, at the camera, and just R.E.M.ing all over the place.

Distance from the camera — too close, I think. …

Digital Transformation is not a magic wand; it is a complex yet essential enterprise commitment to change. Companies that have succeeded have reaped significant benefits. The Deloitte Digital Transformation Survey 2020 found that greater digital maturity is associated with better financial performance. The higher-maturity companies in this year’s sample were about 3X more likely than lower-maturity companies to report annual net revenue growth and net profit margins — a pattern that was consistent across industries.

There is nothing new about fake news. It has been in existence for centuries, albeit without the scaffolding of support from social media. From housewives’ tales to gossip magazines, the Trojan horse, to the misinformation around the D-Day landing site, fake news has been a rite of passage.

it was the 2016 U.S. presidential election that branded it with a legit identity

The Russian military made this into fine art with “maskirovka,” the doctrine gaining superiority through deception, denial, and disinformation. However, it was the 2016 U.S. presidential election that branded it with a legit identity and with such alacrity…

With its engineering base and digital infrastructure, India has the potential to be the global hub for Fantasy Sports

Jay Thompson | Flickr

To be the manager and coach of their very own team — this is the dream of every die-hard sports enthusiast — living out their “Brad Pitt” fantasy in their own Moneyball world. “Fantasy” Sports is just so aptly named. It started in the 1960s when folks from the Oakland Raiders outlined the beginnings of what turned into modern fantasy football rules. Fast forward to the 1980s, a group of journalists developed the Rotisserie system for fantasy baseball. Today Fantasy Sports…
